Demond Sardin, 26, Killed in Hollywood Crash Near Santa Monica and Gower
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 30, 2022) – Demond Sardin was killed after a DUI crash near Santa Monica Boulevard and Gower Street in Hollywood.
The coroner’s office identified the 26-year-old man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when Demond Sardin was riding as a passenger in a car traveling in the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
DUI Driver Hits Another Car
Police said their vehicle tried to make a left turn onto Santa Monica Boulevard from Gower Street. In the process, another car T-boned their vehicle.
The two crashed near the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The KTLA News and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m.
Demond Sardin died at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, police determined that the driver who hit the turning car was under the influence at the time.
Officers forced the area of Santa Monica and Gower to shut down for hours following the wreck. The Hollywood crash is still under investigation.
