FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2021) —  Demonte Captain Sr., 30, of Clovis, died in a Fresno motorcycle crash on Shaw Avenue Sunday morning at the intersection with Cedar Avenue.

The deadly crash happened about 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 17th in northwest Fresno, according to ABC 30 News.

Demonte Captain Sr. died in the early morning crash when his bike crashed into a trailer.

The motorcycle rider was allegedly speeding while traveling westbound on Shaw Avenue. As he approached the traffic light at Cedar Avenue, the bike crashed into a trailer being pulled by a van.

The van was heading northbound on Cedar  Avenue and its driver was turning west onto Shaw Avenue at the time of the motorcycle crash.

Upon impact, the motorcycle rider was ejected from his bike. Sadly, he suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the van stopped and is cooperating with the investigation. There are no other injuries from the crash. Also, it’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Finally, there is an investigation underway by the Fresno Police Department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU).
