2 Passengers Injured in Car Accident Near Sonoma Raceway Sunday
Sonoma, CA (June 7, 2021) – Three people, including 48-year-old Dennis Jamarck, suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash near the Sonoma Raceway.
On June 6, Sunday, Dennis Jamarck was behind the wheel of a 2019 Polaris driving in the hills just west of the raceway track. The Press Democrat reported the man had two passengers at that time–a 45-year-old Petaluma man and a 13-year-old boy.
Due to the alleged intoxication of Dennis Jamarck, the vehicle overturned in an area with a steep terrain. Preliminary investigation revealed Dennis Jamarck and the passenger were all unrestrained when the crash happened.
Major Injury DUI Car Crash in Sonoma, June 6
Medical personnel arrived at the location shortly after 7:30 p.m. Paramedics reportedly found the 45-year-old passenger with major injuries. Because of his serious condition, a REACH medical helicopter was called to the scene to transport the patient to Sutter Hospital in Marin. Authorities added the juvenile also sustained injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
Investigators reportedly conducted tests on Dennis Jamarck and later confirmed drunk at the time of the collision. Police then arrested the man on suspicion of felony driving under the influence.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
