Patrol Car vs. Motorcycle Accident at May Street and Bell Avenue
Sacramento, CA (November 2, 2022) – Denzil Broadhurst, a 61-year-old man, died following a traffic collision that occurred in the area of May Street and Bell Avenue.
The CBS News reported Broadhurst was riding a motorbike traveling in the streets of North Sacramento Monday evening. When the motorcyclist drove through the intersection of May and Bell, he collided with a Sacramento Police car.
Officials said the catastrophic incident took place around 8:10 p.m.
Shortly after the crash, rescue teams arrived at the scene. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the injured rider, then transported him to an area hospital. The article published online mentioned the patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities identified the deceased as Denzil Broadhurst.
The officer involved in the wreck appeared unharmed.
It remained unclear at this time whether the deputy was responding to a call at the time of the incident.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly crash that happened at May Street and Bell Avenue.
