Deodula Omandum, 75, Killed in Santa Ana Crash at Red Hill and Dyer
TUSTIN (November 24, 2018) – An elderly woman was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Red Hill Avenue and Dyer Road Friday night, according to The Orange County Register and KTLA.
The deceased victim has been identified as 75-year-old Deodula Omandum, of Visalia.
As per the reports, police said a 26-year-old San Jose man was driving a red GMC pickup truck south on Red Hill Avenue when he struck the rear of a black Chevrolet Cruze sedan which was waiting at the red light at the time.
The Chevrolet was then pushed across the entire intersection and ultimately burst into flames. The accident took place at about 9:40 p.m.

Police affirmed that two adults and two children were rescued from the Chevy before it became engulfed in flames. However the back seat passenger, later named as Omandum, was pinned in the wreckage and died in the fire.
The other four occupants of the Cruze, and the motorist in the GMC were transported to hospitals with injuries ranging from moderate to major degree. Their names and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, officials believed that alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the incident which remains under investigation.
