Deputy Brandon Longoria Injured in Whittier Car Accident
WHITTIER (December 22, 2018) – A deputy injured after an alleged DUI crash at Pioneer Boulevard and Saragosa Street Thursday has been identified as Brandon Longoria, according to KTLA.
The accident took place on December 20 at approximately 8:25 p.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Brandon Longoria was driving a patrol car east on Saragosa Street when he was struck by Chevrolet Silverado.
The pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Thomas Boulanger was traveling north on Pioneer Boulevard when the Washington resident allegedly ran a stop sign and hit the deputy at the intersection.

CHP affirmed that Deputy Longoria was taken to a hospital with significant bumps and bruises and later released. He is expected to be okay.
Meanwhile, Boulanger sustained minor wounds upon impact. He was believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred and was ultimately arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
The suspected drunk motorist is being held at the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles with a bail set at $100,000.
