VICTORVILLE, California (February 16, 2017) — A deputy was hospitalized after a traffic collision Tuesday night at Amethyst and Palmdale roads, according to The Daily Press.
The accident involving three vehicles took place at approximately 9:01 p.m.
As per the article, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy headed north on Amethyst Road proceeded through the intersection when at the same time a westbound vehicle ran the stop sign.
That car, driven by 60-year-old Adelanto resident Barbara Stewart, collided with the marked unit. The patrol vehicle spun and crashed into a car which was stopped southbound.
The deputy was taken to the hospital with apparent minor injuries and was later released. His name was not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile, Stewart and and the motorist at the stop sign, 54-year-old Victorville resident James Boross, reportedly did not require medical aid.
