Derek Escarcega, 51, Killed in Road Accident at 60 and 91 Freeway Sunday
Riverside, CA (June 14, 2021) – Derek Escarcega, a 51-year-old Riverside man, died following a traffic collision on Interstate 91 Freeway Sunday afternoon.
The Redlands Daily Facts reported Derek Escarcega was riding a blue Harley-Davidson Road Glide heading east on 60 Freeway. Our sources indicated the motorcyclist was unable to negotiate the turn while transitioning onto westbound 91 Freeway. As a result, Derek Escarcega collided into the guardrail along the highway.

According to the article published online, the force from the impact ejected the man onto the roadway. Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 4:50 p.m. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the Riverside man dead at the scene.
Additional details on the unfortunate event have not been revealed thus far. Detectives continue to investigate whether another motorist played a role in the deadly crash in Riverside.
