One Injured in Descanso Crash on I-8 Freeway Near SR-79
DESCANSO, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2022) — A Descanso car accident happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 8 Freeway, just west of Japatul Valley Road and State Route 79.
The collision occurred on Kumeyaay Highway (I-8) about 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 6th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a 2018 Buick Encore SUV and a silver or gold Honda sedan are involved in the collision, the CHP said.
Furthermore, paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. Authorities say that one person suffered a head injury and emergency crews transported them to a hospital.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Descanso accident on the Interstate 8.
