Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Descanso Crash on Highway 79 and Viejas Boulevard
DESCANSO, CA (May 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash near Highway 79 and Viejas Boulevard in Descanso.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team received a call about the accident on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 22 at around 11:11 a.m.
According to CHP, a car and and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Descanso. The two crashed on Highway 79 near the intersection with Viejas Boulevard.

Firefighters along with the soon paramedics responded to the scene near the Guatay community. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the vehicle sustained any wound or if they stopped after the incident. Officers forced the area of Highway 79 to shut down following the Descanso crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
