DESERT CENTER, California (September 30, 2014) – Jefferey Allaway, 20, of Phoenix, Arizona was identified as the man who died Tuesday in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Corn Springs Road, Mile Marker 111, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a black GMC pickup truck lost control and overturned in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the I-10 Freeway, just east of Corn Springs about 8:04 a.m. He was transported by ambulance to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio where he died about an hour later.
CHP officers described the vehicle as totaled and called for Parker DC Tow to remove the damaged car.
There were no further details provided.
