Major Injury Traffic Collision on Highway 177 Monday
Desert Center, CA (May 3, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident on State Route 177, also known as Rice Road, Monday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a single-vehicle overturned for an unknown reason on Rice Road in Desert Center. At this time, the make and model of the car involved in the wreck remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned the crash took place at about 1:25 p.m.

According to the CHP log, the force from the impact caused the vehicle to flip several times in the southbound side of State Route 177. Officials later confirmed the car eventually landed on its rood.
A helicopter was dispatched to the crash site after the CHP confirmed the crash resulted in major injuries. Pending confirmation, the name of the people hurt in the collision have not been discussed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car accident in Desert Center.
