DESERT CENTER, California (June 15, 2017) — One person has died and three others were injured Thursday afternoon in a collision on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of Corn Springs Road, a Riverside County Fire Department report said.
The crash took place about 2:01 p.m. this afternoon between two motorists. One of the victims died of their injuries at the scene, but two others with major injuries were airlifted to a hospital for further treatment. A fourth person suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was also taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
The report does not indicate what led to the crash, but police will conduct an investigation into liability. Police will determine whether or not criminal charges will be filed, but it’s up to those who were hurt or who have lost a family member in a collision to determine for themselves whether or not they wish to file a civil lawsuit or hire an attorney to help them with their legal claim.
