DESERT CENTER, California (February 10, 2016) — Joshua Tyler, 33, of Glendale, Arizona has been identified as the man killed in a fatal crash early Wednesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
Police say they received a report about a vehicle that was partially blocking traffic lanes about 1:49 a.m. and decided to send an ambulance as a precaution. The vehicle was near the Acari Ditch at Mile Marker 122.1.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to the eastbound side of the freeway, however, upon their arrival had to call for the Blythe coroner as there was a fatality.
Parker Towing and H and H Ramsey towing were called to the scene and police set up a traffic break on the westbound side to shut down the lanes temporarily for firefighters.
There were no further details provided.
