At Least 1 Hospitalized After Collision on Sonny Bono Memorial Freeway Tuesday
Desert Hot Springs, CA (July 13, 2021) – A car accident that occurred on Interstate 10 Tuesday evening resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Primary reports indicated a white SUV crashed into the center divider along the eastbound side of I-10, also known as Sonny Bono Memorial Freeway. The collision took place near mile marker 32 at Indian Canyon.
Shortly after 10:45 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. First responders found the white SUV facing towards the right-hand shoulder of the highway. Authorities added a second vehicle involved in the wreck was also found at the scene. At this time, the make and model of the other car remained undisclosed.

Paramedics later confirmed at least one person suffered injuries from the collision. An ambulance reportedly transported the patient to a local hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the exact cause of the car accident in Desert Hot Springs.
