2 Injured in Desert Hot Springs DUI Car Accident at Camino and Avenida
DESERT HOT SPRINGS (October 30, 2017) – Two people were injured in a DUI traffic collision at Camino Aventura and Avenida Manzana Saturday evening, according to ABC 3.
As per the article, 24-year-old Carlos Avila was driving a 2006 Scion in the northbound side of Avenida when he struck a parked Honda HRV near the Camino intersection. The impact caused major damages to both vehicles.
Emergency crews arrived at the accident scene shortly after 6:57 p.m. and found two more occupants inside Avila’s vehicle. Both passengers reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash, and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, officials said Avila was arrested following the incident for felony DUI and was booked into a jail in Indio.
