4 Injured in Desert Hot Springs Crash at Palm Drive and 20th Avenue
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (October 10, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash at Palm Drive and 20th Avenue in Desert Hot Springs.
The incident happened when a white Lexus was going west on 20th Avenue, approaching Palm Drive, in Desert Hot Springs.
For an unknown reason, the Lexus failed to stop at the intersection. Desert Hot Springs police said the car then broadsided a white Chevrolet.
Children Victims in Possible DUI Crash
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of four people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
The 36-year-old Thousand Palms woman driving the Chevrolet and her passengers, two children, complained of pain upon impact.
The driver of the Lexus, a 21-year-old Desert Hot Springs man, sustained unspecified injuries. Medical personnel took all four patients to a local hospital for treatment.
The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police believed that alcohol played a role in the incident.
Officers forced Palm Drive between Dillon Road and Varner Road to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The Desert Hot Springs crash is still under investigation.
