Desert Hot Springs crash Indian Canyon Drive
1 Killed, 1 Badly Injured in Desert Hot Springs Crash Near Indian Canyon and Mission Lakes
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (March 18, 2022) – A Desert Hot Springs crash killed one person and badly injured another near Indian Canyon Drive and Mission Lakes Boulevard.
According to The Desert Sun and KESQ News, the tragic accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 7:30 a.m.
The incident began when Marc Hernandez Jr was driving a Ford Focus south on northbound North Indian Canyon Drive in Desert Hot Springs. At the same time, a Dodge Ram was going north.
Police the 29-year-old Desert Hot Springs man then slammed head-on into the pickup truck near the intersection with Mission Lakes Boulevard.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced Marc Hernandez dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the 26-year-old Cathedral City resident to a hospital for treatment. The reports did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of North Indian Canyon Drive and Mission Lakes Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
