DESERT HOT SPRINGS: Fred BamBusch, 51, Killed in Pedestrian Accident

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, California (May 18, 2015) — A 51-year-0ld man was killed Thursday when his wheelchair was hit by a driver while attempting to cross the street in front of 13210 Palm Drive, according to a report by the coroner and news reports.

About 8:09 p.m., Fred BamBusch was crossing Palm Drive, just south of Hacienda Avenue when just before he made it to the other side he was hit by a driver in a silver Toyota Rav4 SUV.

The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner reported he died at the scene of the crash.

Police are investigating the crash and have interviewed the woman driving the car who remained at the scene.
