Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Desert Hot Springs Crash at Dillon and Atlantic
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (July 12, 2021) – A crash critically injured a motorcyclist at Dillon Road and Atlantic Avenue in Desert Hot Springs.
According to the KESQ News and My News LA, the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck on July 11 at about 10:45 p.m.
The incident happened when a male motorcycle rider was going west on Dillon Road, approaching Atlantic Avenue. At the same time, a Nissan Sentra was traveling east.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Desert Hot Springs police said the Nissan made a left turn onto Atlantic for an unknown reason. In the process, the motorcyclist collided with the front passenger side of the car in the intersection.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the rider who sustained major trauma to his body as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital and listed him in critical condition. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Dillon Road and Atlantic Avenue to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Desert Hot Springs crash.
