DESERT HOT SPRINGS: Woman Fatally Struck by Motorcycle on Palm Drive
The fatality was identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s office as 50-year-old Lorraine Saucedo-Murillo.
The accident happened at around 9:00 p.m. in the 13-200 block of the driveway.
Preliminary report stated that Saucedo-Murillo stepped into the right northbound lane under still unknown reason and circumstance.
The event caused Saucedo-Murillo to be struck by an oncoming motorcycle, as mentioned in the article.
The force from the impact was significant, causing Saucedo-Murillo to sustain injuries and the motorcycle rider overthrown from its vehicle.
Responding paramedic team immediately rescued both wounded parties and transported them to Desert Regional Medical Center for proper treatment.
In an unfortunate turnout of events, Saucedo-Murillo was pronounced dead at 11:41 p.m.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist treated and survived the collision.
