Destiny Mariah Munoz, 21, Killed in Car Crash on Ming Avenue Wednesday
Bakersfield, CA (February 18, 2021) – The Kern County Sheriff’s Office Destiny Mariah Munoz as one of the two fatal victims in a traffic collision that occurred on Ming Avenue Wednesday night.
According to Bakersfield Now, a vehicle with multiple occupants was traveling east on Ming Avenue in southeast Bakersfield. When the car approached the the 500 block of Ming, the driver reportedly allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway.
The car eventually smashed against a wood utility pole. The force from the impact sheared the car in half, officials said.

Shortly after 10:25 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found a female party unconscious in the wrecked vehicle. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the woman, but 21-year-old Munoz succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities added a male party was ejected during the incident and also died at the scene.
Per local news source, two other men suffered injuries as a result of the collision. Ambulances transported the patients to hospitals for treatment.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly car crash in Bakersfield.
