Yucca Valley Man, 41, Dies in Traffic Accident

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. (August 20, 2025) – A 41-year-old Yucca Valley man identified as Detrick Kelley died Tuesday, August 12th in pedestrian accident on Highway 247 in Yucca Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 2:30 p.m. on August 12 near Mile Marker 6. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian, identified as Detrick Kelley, unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Details regarding how the collision occurred and whether the driver involved remained at the scene have not yet been released.
