Devin Guzman, 19, Seriously Injured in Hollywood Hills Hit-and-Run on Mulholland
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 18, 2021) – Devin Guzman was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Mulholland Drive in Hollywood Hills.
Family members identified the 19-year-old man as one of the victims in the collision which took place on Sunday night.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Devin Guzman and his four friends in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood. The driver hit them outside 7080 West Mulholland Drive.
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near the 101 Freeway. They found the five pedestrians left wounded as a result of the accident.
Several Pedestrians Hit by Car
Devin Guzman sustained serious injuries, including a broken vertebrae, following the Hollywood Hills crash. Medical personnel rushed him and a 16-year-old girl to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment.
Officials provided aid to the other three people at the site for their minor injuries. CBS Los Angeles and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on August 15 at about 9:05 p.m.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victims and soon fled the area. They described the car involved as a white Honda Civic.
Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to cover the medical bills of Devin Guzman. The Hollywood Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
