Devlin James-Conner Dozier, 28, Fatally Struck by Dump Truck Near Niles Street Monday
Bakersfield, CA (September 18, 2021) – On September 13, Devlin James-Conner Dozier died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Highway 178.
The Bakersfield.com News published an article online indicated a dump truck hit a male party in the eastbound side of the Highway 178. Officials said the horrible crash took place just east of Nile Street.

Shortly after 10:15 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the man succumbed to his injuries and died. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Devlin James-Conner Dozier.
The Bakersfield office of the California Highway Patrol is the agency handling the investigation. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident in Bakersfield.
