Pedestrian Struck, Killed on 60 Freeway in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2019) — Dewayne Ratcliffe, 35, of Riverside, killed Saturday in a pedestrian accident on the 60 Freeway in Riverside.
The man was wearing only his boxer short underwear when he was struck while walking on the eastbound freeway, police said. A driver in a 2011 Toyota Camry struck the victim in the HOV lane, about 400 feet east of the Orange Street Bridge, police said. He died at the scene about 1:15 a.m. after being struck by multiple vehicles following the initial accident. The initial motorist involved stopped and cooperated with the police investigation, but it’s unknown if the others did as well.
Ratcliffe was identified by the Riverside County coroner.
