Investigators Seek Driver in Diamond Bar Hit-and-Run

 Diamond Bar Fatal Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident Lycoming Street and Penarth AvenueDIAMOND BAR, Calif. (July 9, 2021) — A Diamond Bar fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Sunday night at Lycoming Street and Penarth Avenue.

Now investigators are requesting help from the public to locate the driver who fled the scene.

Additionally, the injured pedestrian died a few days after the crash at the Diamond Bar intersection.

The crash happened about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 4th, police said.

Authorities believe the pedestrian was walking northbound on Penarth as he crossed Lycoming. An oncoming westbound vehicle struck the victim on Lycoming Street.

Meanwhile, the driver fled the crash scene by turning south onto Lemon Avenue. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured victim to a hospital with major injuries. He died a few days later at the hospital.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release his identity after notifying relatives.

Additionally, anyone with information about the crash or suspect may contact traffic investigators at the Walnut/Diamond Bar sheriff’s station.
