2-Vehicle Truck Accident on State Route 49
DIAMOND SPRINGS, Calif. (August 29, 2023) — A two-vehicle Diamond Springs crash happened Tuesday afternoon on Highway 49 and Black Rice Road.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of State Route 49 around 1 p.m. on August 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a big rig gravel truck and a white Dodge Ram pickup truck were involved.
The woman driving the pickup truck appeared to be injured following the collision. Paramedics responded to the scene to help her, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the white pickup truck from the roadway due to damage from the traffic accident in Diamond Springs.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the accident, but investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
