Bicyclist Victim in Diamond Springs Hit-and-Run at Missouri Flat and Pleasant Valley
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (May 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a bicyclist at Missouri Flat Road and Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs.
According to an article published by the FOX 40 News, the accident took place on May 16. Officers reported the collision at around 10:15 a.m.
The incident happened when a pickup truck was going south on Missouri Flat Road in Diamond Springs. For an unknown reason, the driver made a left turn onto Pleasant Valley Road.
Driver Hits Bicycle Rider, Flees Scene
The California Highway Patrol said the vehicle drove onto the shoulder and then struck the bicycle rider. The cyclist sustained possible injuries as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the cyclist and fled the area. Officials described the car as a 2016 to 2018 Chevrolet Silverado.
The pickup truck has Redline Edition red wheel markings and black running boards. Officers closed Missouri Flat and Pleasant Valley following the collision.
