Motorcyclist Injured in Diamond Springs Hit-and-Run Crash on Pleasant Valley Road

DIAMOND SPRINGS, CA (May 24, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Pleasant Valley Road in Diamond Springs.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident as a non-contact hit-and-run on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck shortly after 2 p.m.

The accident happened on May 23 when two motorcycle riders possibly collided with a vehicle in Diamond Springs. They crashed on Pleasant Valley Road near Highway 49.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found one motorcyclist hurt in the roadway. The victim complained of pain to their pelvis as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the road rash they sustained to their elbows and knees. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a portion of Pleasant Valley Road to close following the wreck.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Diamond Springs hit-and-run crash.
