Dianna Bocanegra Killed in Crash on I-10 Freeway in Cabazon

Semi-Truck Hits Ontario Woman’s Volkswagen Near Haugan-Lehmann Way

CABAZON, Calif. (April 11, 2025) – Dianna Bocanegra, 40, of Ontario, died in a crash involving a semi-truck early Thursday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Cabazon, just west of Palm Springs, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle collision happened on eastbound I-10 around 12:06 a.m. on April 10th, just west of Haugan-Lehmann Way, police said.

The woman was driving a gray Volkswagen Jetta that was reportedly struck by the big rig truck, however, the circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown at this time.

Dianna Bocanegra suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on the I-10 Freeway.
