
Dianna Clinton, 66, Injured in Blythe Fatal Crash on State Route 95
BLYTHE, CA (May 12, 2023) – A fatal car crash left Dianna Clinton injured on State Route 95 near Blythe.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 66-year-old Blythe woman as the victim in the wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Dianna Clinton was driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler on State Route 95 at 55 mph near Blythe. At the same time, a 2002 Subaru Forester was going south.
For an unknown reason, the Subaru crossed the centerline of the highway. In the process, the Forester drove south in the northbound lane and struck the rear of the Jeep.
2 Cars Collide
CHP said both cars rolled an unspecified number of times upon impact near 6th Avenue. The Desert Sun wrote that the collision occurred on May 10 shortly after 8 a.m.
Dianna Clinton complained of pain to her neck as a result of the crash. Paramedics provided aid to the victim for the minor injuries she sustained in the accident.
The driver of the Subaru, 24-year-old Travis Hunt, ended up ejected from the vehicle following the wreck. The Desert Hot Springs man died at the scene.
His passenger, 42-year-old Kathryn Daher, survived with minor injuries. A helicopter flew the Palm Desert woman to the Desert Regional Medical Center with complaint of pain to her head and left arm.
Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of Route 95 to shut down for hours after the accident. The cause of the Blythe crash is still under investigation.
