Dillon Mahoney, 24, ID’d as Driver in Clearlake Fatal Skateboard Crash
CLEARLAKE, CA (August 5, 2022) – Authorities detained Dillon Mahoney after a crash that killed a skateboarder in Clearlake.
Police identified the 24-year-old Clearlake man as the suspect in the fatal accident which took place last week on Monday.
The incident happened when Dillon Mahoney was driving a Chevrolet Silverado on Emory Avenue in Clearlake. He then struck a 32-year-old Clearlake man riding a motorized skateboard in the area.

Police said his pickup truck hit the victim, Adam Huskey, just south of Mullen Avenue. The Press Democrat and The Lake County News wrote that the collision occurred on July 25 at about 10:45 a.m.
The rider sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. Paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Dillon Mahoney on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter following the crash. They booked him into the Lake County Jail in lieu of a $150,000 bail.
Officers forced a stretch of Emory Avenue to shut down for a time after the accident. The cause of the Clearlake crash is still under investigation.
