Dillon Oliver, 24, Victim in DUI Motorcycle Crash
DATE OF COLLISION: Friday, August 3rd
August 6, 2018- According to KION546 News, Dillon Oliver, 24, has been identified as the man fatally injured after a crash caused by a drunk driver Friday evening on Watsonville Road.
At roughly 7:30 p.m., Oliver and his passenger had been traveling along northbound Watsonville Road near Pharmer Road before a Dodge Durango veered into their path triggering a devastating collision.
Both Oliver and his unidentified passenger were ejected from the bike.
Oliver tragically did not survive the impact of the wreck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Oliver’s Passenger Hospitalized
Meanwhile, Oliver’s passenger sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local area medical center.
California Highway Patrol authorities stated that the driver of the Durango attempted to flee the scene, however, the suspect’s was unable to drive away as the Durango broke down.
That motorist, identified as 32-year-old Watsonville resident Eduardo Gonzalez, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
