Dilpreet Thiara, 23, Victim in in Vernalis Fatal Crash at Highway 132 and McCracken
VERNALIS, CA (October 11, 2022) – A fatal crash at Highway 132 and McCracken Road left Dilpreet Thiara seriously injured near Vernalis.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 23-year-old Manteca woman as the victim of the wreck which took place last week on Thursday.
The incident happened when Dilpreet Thiara was driving a Nissan Frontier west on Highway 132 east of Vernalis. At the same time, a Toyota Prius was going north on McCracken Road.

For an unknown reason, the Toyota then ran a stop sign at the intersection. CHP said in the process, the Prius slammed into the Nissan.
The Modesto Bee wrote that the collision occurred on October 6 at about 10:24 p.m. Dilpreet Thiara sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
A helicopter flew her to the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. CHP soon confirmed that the driver of the Toyota died at the scene of the accident.
Officers named the deceased party as 63-year-old Kathryn Pearce, from Southern California. Meanwhile, the cause of the Vernalis crash is still under investigation.
