1 Seriously Injured in Dixon Head-On Crash on Highway 113 Near Hay Road
DIXON (August 23, 2020) – A traffic collision along Highway 113 left at least one person seriously injured on Saturday morning.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on August 22 at about 6:14 a.m. The highway is also known as Rio Dixon Road.
According to their dispatch team, two sedans collided head-on on Highway 113 just north of Hay Road. CHP described one of the parties involved as an off-duty Dixon Police officer.

The collision happened when a driver was apparently passing other vehicles on the highway. The motorist then went into the oncoming traffic and struck another car.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and attended to one individual who suffered major injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the patient at this time were not immediately available.
Officers temporarily closed both lanes of the roadway following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
