Girl, 7, Injured in Dog Attack in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Feb. 29, 2024) — A 7-year-old girl was taken to a hospital with injuries after a dog attack on her and her friend Thursday morning on Mesa Linda Avenue in Victorville.
The animal bit both children as they were walking to school just after 7 a.m. on Feb. 29th, according to the Victorville Police Department and KTLA 5 News.
Police were dispatched to the 13800 block of Mesa Linda Avenue to help the children, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
One of the children managed to run away, but the dog continued to attack the other girl and left the 7-year-old with multiple injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, a neighbor heard the attack and came to help the children and that’s when the dog ran away from the scene.
Paramedics responded to transport the injured girl to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
