Don Cast and Judith Cast Hopland Crash on Highway 101
Big Rig Hits Pickup Truck Injured Man and Woman in Hopland on Highway 101 Tuesday
HOPLAND (August 11, 2017)- According to the Press Democrat, a major injury collision left a man and a woman seriously injured following a collision with a big rig Tuesday on Highway 101.
The incident was reported at precisely 10:17 a.m. when the driver of a big rig hauling grapes, Arnold Lindsey, 65, of Hopland, headed northbound slammed into an elderly couple’s Chevy Silverado.
The couple identified as Don Cast, 73, and Judith Cast, 70, of Concord, were both badly injured as Mr. Cast was taken by ambulance to Ukiah Valley Med Center while Mrs. Cast was flown to Queen of the Valley Med Center.
Their conditions have not been updated at this time as of Friday.

Meanwhile, Mr. Lindsey was uninjured following the accident and therefore declined medical assistance.
A third driver was also involved identified as Erick Villa, 40, of Hopland. Villa was also uninjured, per the Press Democrat.
