Cyclist Dies in Collision Near Herrick Avenue
Humboldt, CA (October 27, 2022) – Donald Ferguson, a 51-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a 2015 Chevrolet pickup struck a man riding a bicycle in the northbound side of the highway in Humboldt. Officials said the collision took place at approximately 7:40 p.m.

According to the dispatch, the incident resulted in life-threatening injuries to the cyclist. Responding paramedics performed CPR to the victim, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities later identified the deceased as Donald Ferguson, of Rio Dell.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Chevrolet, 29-year-old Colton Daniels, appeared unharmed after the crash.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the deadly accident that happened in Humboldt.
