Beserra Struck and Injured by Car while Getting into Parked Vehicle
HILMAR, California (July 26, 2016) – A 62-year-old Turlock woman injured in a hit-and-run collision on July 16 has been identified as Donna Beserra, according to Merced Sun-Star.
California Highway Patrol said Beserra was getting into her parked vehicle on American Avenue when she was struck by the passenger-side mirror of a white Ford Taurus.
Beserra sustained an arm injury as a result of the incident.
As per the article, CHP affirmed that the driver stopped momentarily, got back into his Ford and left the scene. He was described as a Latino male believed to be in his early 20s, about 5-foot-8, with black hair.
The suspect car apparently damaged or lost its passenger-side mirror following the crash.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
