Donovan Daniels, 43, Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run at Harris and Country Meadows
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 29, 2021) – Donovan Daniels was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Harris Road and Country Meadows Drive in Bakersfield.
Family members identified the 43-year-old man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck Donovan Daniels for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. He was riding a bicycle at the time.
Police said the driver hit the bicyclist at intersection of Harris Road and Country Meadows Drive at the time. Donovan Daniels sustained major injuries as a result of the Bakersfield crash.
Bicycle Rider Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found him left lying on the ground. They rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he died.
Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident occurred on August 28 shortly after 12:35 a.m. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the cyclist and fled east on Harris Road.
Officers described the car as possibly a red colored late model, small to mid-sized SUV. The cause of the Bakersfield hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
