DORRIS: Several Hurt in Big Rig Collision on Highway 161 at Highway 97DORRIS, California — According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, a traffic collision resulted in major injuries to several parties on Highway 161 at Highway 97.

On January 1, a crash between a big rig loaded with potatoes and several other vehicle was logged at precisely 5:24 p.m.

The CHP team initially mentioned two adults were hurt and still trapped inside their vehicle, while a child in unknown condition was located at the scene.

Officials later affirmed the accident caused trauma to four persons whose names were withheld pending next of kin notification.

The cause of the mutli-vehicle collision remained under investigation.
