1 Killed in Dos Palos Crash at Palm Avenue and Azusa Avenue
DOS PALOS, CA (October 1, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash at Palm Avenue and Azusa Avenue in Dos Palos.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the fatal wreck occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the accident at about 8:38 p.m.
According to CHP, a semi-truck ran over a gray Toyota Corolla for an unknown reason in Dos Palos. The two crashed at the intersection of Palm and Azusa avenues.
The big rig came to a rest on top of the car as a result of the collision.
Semi-Truck and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 152. They then found two occupants who ended up trapped in the Toyota following the incident.
Medical personnel confirmed that one victim later died. They treated the other patient for the unspecifies injuries they sustained in the accident.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties remain unreleased. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Palm and Azusa to shut down for several hours after the collision.
The cause of the Dos Palos crash is still under investigation.
