Pedestrian Injured in Dos Palos Hit-and-Run at Highway 33 and Christian Avenue
DOS PALOS, CA (September 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 33 and Christian Avenue in Dos Palos.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Saturday night. Officers reported the incident at about 10:21 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Dos Palos.. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Highway 33, known as Elgin Avenue, and Christian Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near a cemetery. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers closed the intersection of Highway 33 and Christian Avenue following the accident.
The cause of the Dos Palos hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
