San Diego Man, 59, Killed in Pedestrian Accident on April 17th
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 21, 2021) — Douglas Edward Bailey, 59, of San Diego, died in a hit-and-run San Diego pedestrian accident on Clairemont Drive in Bay Park.
The fatal hit-and-run crash happened about 9:15 a.m. on April 17th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
Police Searching for Hit-and-run Suspect after Fatal Bay Park Crash
A female driver in a southbound white vehicle struck the San Diego man as he was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk in the 3000 block of Clairemont Drive in the Bay Park area. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla where he was treated for a severe h later died the same day at 2:35 p.m., the report said. The coroner identified Douglas Bailey as the man who died in the Bay Park crash.
Meanwhile, the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the crash.
