At Least 1 Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 3 Saturday
Douglas City, CA (July 24, 2021) – A car crash that occurred on State Route Highway 3 Saturday morning resulted in injuries, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle veered off the roadway for an unknown reason. The collision took place in the area near Trinity River.
Shortly after 4:22 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. First responders found a BMW Z4 with broken front tires, and rolled down the embankment along Highway 3 in Douglas City.

Medical personnel attended to all possible victims in the wreck. After the evaluation, officials confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance later arrived at the location, and transported the patient to the hospital for treatment. The name of the injured party remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Additional details on the wreck have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car crash in Douglas City happened.
