Semi-Truck, Pickup Crash on Interstate 105 in Downey
DOWNEY, Calif. (July 25, 2024) — A two-vehicle traffic accident happened Thursday in Downey California on the Interstate 105 near the Lakewood Boulevard off ramp.
The pickup versus big rig truck accident occurred at around 10:20 AM on Thursday, July 25th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Nissan pickup truck and a semi truck collided on the Interstate 105 near Lakewood Boulevard off ramp. Due to the impact of the collision, the pickup truck ended up in the center divide of the highway while the semi truck ended up on the right hand side of the highway. The Downey city Fire Department was requested to arrive on the scene. CHP reported that two bicycles were in the No. 1 lane, but it’s unknown if they were involved or injured.
Paramedics from the Downey Fire Department responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries at this time.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident in Downey California on the Interstate 105 Highway.
