3 Injured in Downtown Los Angeles Car Accident on Main Street
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 2-car DUI collision was reported Friday morning at the 1500 block of Main Street.
At roughly 2:33 a.m., a black sedan and a silver sedan collided causing major injuries to several motorists.
The silver sedan had major front end damage leaving both the driver and passenger inside trapped requiring extrication by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Meanwhile, the black sedan looked as if it had ricocheted off into the side of a building after the initial collision.
A total of three were injured- two with serious injuries and one with life-threatening injuries. All were rushed to the emergency room for immediate treatment.
After perusing the scene, police officials found at least one beer can or bottle inside one of the vehicles likely making this incident a DUI crash as alcohol seemed to have been a contributor.
Los Angeles PD will investigate and will release more information as the cause of the collision and the identities of the involved parties have not been released at this time.
