Major Injury Rollover Car Accident, CHP Reports
DOYLE, California (June 16, 2014) –– A suspected drunken driver was allegedly swerving all over the road veered in front of a big rig truck in a rollover accident early Monday morning on Highway 395 near Bird Flat Ranch, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
Just before 1 a.m., a witness called 911 to report the collision and told CHP officers that following the crash the driver of the small sedan was hanging upside down inside the vehicle which had landed on its roof. Indeed, there were several people in the car who were trapped so police called for paramedics to respond.
The truck driver,Victor White, was uninjured and was attempting to assist with those injured in the car, the report said. He was cooperating with authorities throughout the aftermath of the Doyle car accident.
Mr. Steinbeck, one of the witnesses at the scene, told police he saw the car swerve and hit the semi-tractor trailer truck, the CHP report said.
The female driver of the car was life flighted by helicopter from the scene of the crash with major injuries to her left arm. There were no other details about how many were injured in the crash.
CHP requested that the driver’s blood alcohol content be measured and obtained a search warrant.
