Teen Killed in South Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2022) – Dream Legarreta, 18, of Desert Hot Springs, died Saturday in hit-and-run crash while crossing at Main Street and 92nd Street in Los Angeles.
The crash happened about 7:50 p.m. on Saturday in the Broadway-Manchester area of Los Angeles, according to a press release by the Los Angeles Police Department.
A northbound motorist in a dark-colored vehicle struck the young woman as she reportedly stepped onto Main Street.
Also, the driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid to the critically-injured teenager.
Furthermore, paramedics responded to help Dream Legarreta, but her injuries were too severe and she was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Meanwhile, the city of Los Angeles has a standing reward of up to $50,000 for anyone with information leading to the suspect’s identification, arrest and conviction or a possible civil resolution.
